NFA Committees are created to support consortium activities that
require continual involvement by all member institutions. NFA
Committees consist of representatives from our NFA Board of Directors
and at-large members.
Committee members are expected to work closely with NFA staff
and advise the NFA Board of Directors on policy, setting agendas,
framing issues, identifying opportunities, surveying and bringing
recommendations to the NFA Board of Directors.
One individual franchisee serves as chair of each Committee.
The NFA Diversity Affairs Committee helps to make the Burger King
system a better place to work by promoting understanding and respect
among all races, religions and cultures. Key focus areas are procurement,
franchise relations, external relations, employment, and advertising

The FRC advances cooperative relations between franchisees and
Burger King Corporation to enable the Burger King system to achieve
and maintain the number one rating in service, image, new restaurant
development and sales market share within the QSR category. The
FRC is comprised of three subcommittees addressing the following
issues: Service & Image, Development, and Finance. For more

The GRC and the PAC, NFA's political lobbying arm, make the legislative
interests of the Burger King franchisee community their primary
concern. Making the NFA presence felt in Washington, DC on a national
level, as well as encouraging grassroots participation by franchisees
on a local level, the GRC works closely with other restaurant
industry groups to advance the agenda and goals of quick service

The FPB provides oversight and responsibility for the financial
interests of the association, its committees and subsidiary corporations.
The committee is responsible with the Executive Director to review
and recommend budgets, reports and audits as well as investment,
general expense and benefit policies and enforcement thereof.

The Education and Training Department provides communication,
seminars, workshops and presentations among the franchisee community
through the exchange of views and information on matters that
“improve, preserve, and insure the economic well-being of
all members” in the Burger King system.The Education and
Training vision is to enrich the professional development of the
franchisee and to equip them and their employees in such a way
that it advances the growth of the Burger King brand.

The Image Committee is responsible for providing advice and counsel
to Burger King Corporation on the “Current Image”
of the franchised restaurant and advocating on behalf of franchisees
on issues related to the improvement, alteration and remodeling
of franchised restaurants in conformity with national and local
standards agreed upon by both the NFA and Burger King Corporation.
