FLAME

FLAME, the official magazine of the NFA, is written and produced specifically for BURGER KING® franchisees. Published quarterly, it delivers up-to-date information on NFA activities, programs and services; the latest restaurant industry and economic news and trends; and ideas for improving franchise operations.

FLAME features regular columns from NFA Board officers and business experts on topics pertinent to the QSR industry, including operations, risk management, personnel management, financial planning, marketing and legal matters.

Submissions are welcome in the form of news releases, business-to-business articles (400-750 words), new product descriptions (100-150 words) and vendor spotlights (400-600 words). Accompanying images should be high-resolution (at least 300 dpi) TIF, JPG or EPS files or color prints. For more information or to send editorial material, contact Erin Murrin. 2008’s Issue 2 of the FLAME has been RELEASED!

The second issue of the FLAME, which all franchisees and friends of the NFA should have a copy of by now, is continuing the year-long celebration of the NFA’s 20th anniversary celebration.

In this beautiful, 64-page issue, the NFA recognizes and honors the many member franchisees who have given selflessly to others through philanthropic work in their restaurants, their communities and beyond. All will enjoy the stories of the many charitable spirits this association is lucky to have as members.

Issue 2 offers a pictorial journey down memory lane by way of its FLAME cover mosaic feature. Every FLAME cover from the magazine’s 18-year history is shown, from the early days to the most recent cover. The FLAME cover mosaic is highly representative of the NFA’s evolution as a relevant and meaningful franchisee association. The question is: how many FLAME covers do YOU remember?

FLAME 2 continues the four-part series on women franchisees in the NFA. This time, Beth Westfall and Jacqueline Ford are highlighted.

As always, you can be sure that the FLAME is also brining you the tried-and-true, business-focused features containing content that will help your business thrive. Articles on asset protection, labor and employment concerns related to philanthropic deeds in the workplace and NFA Health+ appear in the second edition of the FLAME to keep you informed on the issues that matter to your business. Issue 2 also features two useful government relations-related articles that are sure to be both interesting and informative to read.

Your NFA strives to offer you the most relevant information in the FLAME, and your association is certain the second issue of the year is one of the most relevant and memorable FLAME magazines yet. Issue 3 of the FLAME for 2008 is currently in production and is set for release soon. Keep your eyes on your mailboxes for a copy. You won’t want to miss it!
